Writing Strands Paper 3

                        Chapter 1                                 Camden      11-21-14

An elephant named Freddy, was in the jungle that had random animals.   Freddy was a big boy elephant.  Freddy’s trunk was so long it sometimes touched the ground!  Freddy was marching around in the jungle when he saw a boy chipmunk and a boy raccoon.  Freddy thought sadly,  “Man, I must be a giant.”  Then Freddy sighed and sat down.  The chipmunk and the raccoon saw that he was depressed, so they asked him his name and why he was sad.  Freddy said,  “My name is Freddy and I am sad because I am a giant.”  The raccoon and the chipmunk said their names at the same time.  “You first,” said the raccoon.  “Ok, my name is John.”  “And I’m Smelly.”  “You don’t smell smelly,” said Freddy.  “That is my name,” said Smelly.  “Uh, um,  yah,  we will think of something to help you with that.”  said John.  “Really?  Thanks!”  said Freddy.  “No problem.”  said John.  “It should be what everyone should do.” said Smelly.  John and Smelly started to think.

                           Chapter 2

“Oh I know!” said Smelly who was beaming very big.  “Let’s go to the zoo and show Freddy elephants, raccoons, and chipmunks.”  “That’s a good idea, Smelly.”  exclaimed John.  “Freddy, do you know if there are any zoos around?”  asked Smelly.  “I can see one, Smelly.” said Freddy, who was pointing at the zoo.  “Then what are we waiting for?”  asked John.  Freddy, John,  and Smelly headed over to the zoo.   Smelly showed Freddy the raccoons.  “That is what I am.”  said Smelly.  Then Smelly showed Freddy the elephants.  “That is what you are.”  said Smelly.  While Smelly was showing Freddy the elephants and raccoons, John was looking for a chipmunk.  Soon enough, he found one.  John showed Freddy the chipmunk and explained that that was what he was.  “Oh…,  it is just I am big and you are small?” asked Freddy.  “Exactly.”  said John.  “Thanks guys!”  exclaimed Freddy,  who had twice as big as a big smile.

Chapter 3

“Can we be best friends?”  asked Freddy.  “Sure,  if you help me change my nickname, - I hate my name.”  said Smelly.  “Smelly,  you are now…, Striped!”  said John.  “Thanks John!” said Striped,  who was happily smiling.  “And now we are best friends!”  said Freddy.  Then,  John,   Striped, and Freddy went walking back into the jungle with big smiles on their  faces.

Writing Strands Paper

John liked to play pranks on his brothers.  In the night, John thought of some pranks and decided which one he would do on his brothers.  He taped string to the walls of the of the stairs,  so his brothers would trip on the string and fall down the stairs.  “I will figure out if it works tomorrow,” thought John.

The next morning, John woke up five minutes before his brothers. So that he adjusted his eyes so that he could watch in awe.  The alarm went off, and his brothers woke up.  John’s brothers started to go downstairs until they all tripped on the string!  “It worked!”  thought John, who was happily watching in amazement, and hearing their high-pitched screeches.  John spent that Saturday in his bed, grounded.

My Brother

I am going to tell you about my brother.  His name is Logan and he is in 6th grade.   He lives in New Boston, New Hampshire.   He is just an average height  for a 11 year old boy. Logan weighs 85 pound, which  I think is average for an 11 year old boy.   The color of his skin is tan.  He has dark tan in some places of his body and light tan in the other places of his body,  because of his leftover summer tan.  He has dark brown hair.  Logan likes his hair short,  so mom cuts it with clippers.  The color of his eyes are blue-gray .  He sees everything pretty much. - he is known as eagle eyes for his amazing sight. His voice is not high or low – it is perfect for a 11 year old boy.   However,  my brother is a tiny bit loud.  He hurts my ears, sometimes.  “ROCK AND ROLL!”  (That is something my brother would say.)  My brother’s hobby is playing drums.  He does not go to school,  because he is homeschooled.  His favorite subject is Computer Programming.  His favorite show is, “The Amazing World of Gumball,”  which is a cartoon.  The reason I like him is because he is a funny boy, and is very polite.  Also,   I like him because he is my brother.  Logan is such a good brother.

Best Summer, Ever!

I had the best summer ever!  I usually like summer because I can lots of fun things with my family and friends.  Water gun fights,  going to amusement parks,  and hanging out with friends are all fun things to do.  This summer was the best summer,  ever because I got to do those things and more!

Some of my favorite things I did were going to lakes with friends,  journeyed to a couple of rock conventions,  sleeping over at friends houses,  and went to Canobie Lake Park.  My very favorite was sleeping over at my aunt and uncle’s house.  I got to play video games with them,  I got to play with my cousin Toby,  and I even had cake and ice-cream for Toby’s fourth birthday!  At the end of that visit,  my grandmother and grandfather took me mini-golfing.

This summer was the best summer ever because I got do tons of things with my family and friends.  My family made a list of things we did this summer,  and I had trouble choosing!

Sports

This is my brand new paper.  I hope you enjoy, bye!

I think you should try sports because they are fun.  Sports help you exercise, too.  You also learn how to make friends, how to play fair, and how to show good sportsmanship.

One of my favorite sports is basketball, because for most of the game you are running around the court.   You get a good workout, and get very sweaty, which is good for you!

Another thing about sports, like with baseball, basketball, soccer, or other games like dodgeball or tag, is that they are all very fun!  You end up shouting to your teammates, cheering, smiling and laughing.

When you’re playing sports or games, you learn how to play fair.  Before you play, make sure everyone knows the rules.  When you play the game, don’t cheat, and don’t be prideful when you win, or grumpy when you lose.

So, if you haven’t tried sports, you should!  Go put on some sneakers, head outside, and have some fun.  Sports rock!

MIT And MFA

We went to MIT, witch stands for Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  We did a lego car thing thing you just have fun for.  Then, we went to MFA, witch stands for Museum of Fine Arts.  We looked around there and did a small scavenger hunt that we did not get to finish.  After that, we went to a hotel.  The next morning, we left and went to nerf club.  Then we went back home to change for book club and left after we were ready.  (We were late because we had a busy day.)  What a fun day!
