Poem

I have to memorize a poem for school.  Here is my poem I am memorizing!

                           Brother

              I had a little brother
And I brought him to my mother
And I said I want another
             Little brother of a change.
But she said don't be a bother
So I took him to my father
And I said this little bother
             Of a brother's very strange.

But he said one little brother
             Is exactly like another
             And every little brother
             Misbehaves a bit he said.
             So I took the bother
From my mother and my father
And I put the little bother
Of a brother back to bed.

                               Author:   Mary Ann Hoberman

There is my poem I am memorizing!  I almost have it down.  Well,  thanks for reading this blogpost.  I hope you have a good day!  Bye!

Parkour

I just started to do a parkour class last week.  The place that I go to do parkour is called Flip City.  It is a VERY tiring sport.  I haven’t done gymnastics or any of that kind of sport before.  I can’t even do a cartwheel!

When I first came in the building I was very nervous.  Luckily, I have the nicest coaches.  The first thing that we do in parkour class is stretches.  We do lots of stretches like the butterfly, which is the easiest.  I am not flexible, so lots of the stretches are hard.

After the stretches, we start.  Our coach tells us what we are doing.  My first day he said that we had to do handstands and headstands.  My first time I did my headstand he said that I did pretty good.  I am getting the hang of headstands now.  But with the handstands, I had a lot of trouble and I still do.  I do terrible with handstands.  The reason why handstands are hard for me is that I my arms feel weak and I collapse.

After that, he said that we needed to jump on a mini trampoline and do a roll, up onto a horse.  It was kind of hard but fun.  I think I did pretty well.

At the end, we had to do all of the things we did that day, in a loop.  A coach timed us when we went.  I messed up one thing but I think that was the only time I messed up. I had so much fun.
Last night’s class was really fun.  Guess what we needed to do!  We needed to do round-ups.  Round-ups are like a cartwheel. To do one, click your feet when you are up in the air, and land the opposite way you were facing.  It was hard but fun to try.

Next thing we did were “kongs.”  (Kongs are vaults, a kind of jump where you use your hands first and then swing your feet over to the other side.)  Kongs are one of my favorite things to do in parkour class.  We had to do a kong all the way across a long mat thing.  I couldn’t do it so I had to jump on the mat thing first, and then jump to the floor.

After that we had to get creative on the mini tramp over the horse.  I was just doing the stuff we learned.  The other kids were doing crazy stuff like a double kong, or a handstand on the horse, with a flip over.

I got to go on the big trampoline, and learn some stuff with a coach. I got to stay a little longer after class ended.  My coach told me that for a beginner, I was off the charts!  I had so much fun.  I wish parkour class was every day.

Martin Luther King Jr.

3 reasons why Martin Luther King Jr. was a hero.

1. He knew that black people and white people should be treated the same.

2. He was brave enough to do incredible things for equality.

3. He made the world better for everyone to become friends.

Quote by Martin Luther King Jr. : "I have a dream that one day in Alabama little black boys and black girls will join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers."

Today

Today has been such a great day.  Listening to Geometry Dash music right now.  (Geometry Dash is one of the best games in the world to me!) For break my neighbor might come over and play in the snow.  If he does come over,  I don't know what to do!  There are so many things to do in the world!  Like doing blogger,  look at webpages,  playing with your toys,  doing school,  sledding,  swimming, and tons and tons more!  God made this world amazing.

Sorry about that this post is a lot off of date.  I should've done this the day after Christmas.  Though,  it was awesome!   First gift me and my brothers got was a ticket to BLUE MAN GROUP!!!  The show was on the next Monday.  That means we saw it,  and it was worth the drive!  Plus,  it was awesome!!!  Not just awesome!  REALLY AWESOME!!!  NOT JUST REALLY AWESOME!!!   REALLY REALLY AWESOME!!!  Naw,  it was just REALLY REALLY REALLY AWESOME!!!  So now that I got that covered,  lets go on to the next gift.

Brother #1:  Got a engine thing that he gets to build our dad.

Brother #2:  Got a little drone thing that has a camera that can record videos and you can fly the drone!

Finally Me:  I got a sled!  Hmm,  lucky me,  THERE WAS NO SNOW!  Ah,  at least I got use it as a Rocking Horse...  (Though I did get to use it once so far.  It is awesome!)

SECOND GIFT!

Brother #1:  A different drone that might take videos (I am not sure if it does) and has a little camera that see's what the drone see's.  Plus,  in one gift,  he got a GOLDEN coin.  It is pretty cool.

Brother #2:  A Moto G phone!  It is runs really good.

Finally Me:  A Lenovo tablet!  10 inches,  has a stand,  and...,  HAS GEOMETRY DASH!  It also has Minecraft on it.  Ah,  Geometry Dash is better...

Blooper:  So,  I got to help serve two of the Christmas services at church.  Guess what group I was a helper for?  3 and 4 year olds!!!  Lucky me,  the first group was fine!  The second group,  turned the wrong way... Kids where EVERYWHERE basically.  They where climbing into the computer room, turning the light switch off and on,  and they where just CRAZY!  I think I barely made it out alive.  I was tired and hungry after that.

So that is all!  I hope you enjoyed my Christmas post!   Bye!
